Input field focus issue on mobile (esmobile template)

For the esmobile template, when viewing the page on a mobile device, if I want to add a comment and the input field is more than 50% below the bottom of the screen then when I click on the field to add a comment the phone keyboard comes up and the input field is hidden below the keyboard (see esmobile link below for video recording).

However, if I disable the esmobile template plugin and try it with the Echo template then when I click into the field to start typing the screen automatically scrolls the input field up so that I can see what I'm typing (see Echo link below for video recording).
