Importing data to easy blog

I am debating what tools to use in a new project. In the past I have been a heavy K2 user and generally satisfied for what it needed to do.

In the project at hand, I will need to import most of the content from an external system. In the past projects like this I had a K2 import tool that made it simple. I would upload the images, set the image ref points and then import all the blog content including extra fields etc into K2 and have 20 blogs post up and ready to be published. This project has a similar requirement. Content is created and externally imported. Typically an excel sheet.

Mapping data is part of the data set. Two questions on that. Can I import those fields and is there a module that can allow someone to see a a page from blog posts like this representation? http://photography.stulainestudios.com/2013-08-16-15-41-54/st-martin-caribbean-photos

Thanks
Stuart
