I've got something I want to talk about - Engagement

I've done some research on the social Networks over a period of 4-5 days. Suppose you have a new startup that no one has ever heard of. You'd think a social network as big as facebook would allow you to get noticed..... Now remembering the old old Myspace days, your brand could take off, there was no limit to the people you could reach out to. That's how Facebook reached out to so many people when they went public. Facebook understands how the system works.

Facebook, Twitter and VK is monitoring your business pages depending on what it is. If your page has anything to do with something that could possibly threaten them, they will give your page limited access to users, but just enough for you not to notice the little things they do.

I created a page which looked like a legitimate new startup. Then I posted 7 of the same exact post, using the same exact hashtags...... On VK, I was getting mad views and as soon as I posted a description of a social business site, my views completely stopped. On Facebook as soon as I described the page, they wouldn't allow me to search/view hashtags that pertained to my business. On Twitter, when you search hashtags the first page you see is "Top" hashtags, then you click the "All" to see others. Although my post were getting more activity than the post on the "Top" page. They still placed my post on the "All" page and not the one everyone sees. On Myspace I got nothing from anything or anyone.

Now we get to Google plus. They send your post through a system like a time bomb. A system that reaches more people than the old Myspace could ever dream of..... So now you know. Results in screenshot below.

If your business is already established there's really no way for them to stop your page views although they can stop your post views. But if your social business is a fresh startup, do not create a page with Facebook, Twitter or VK, for it will do nothing but hurt your brand. Once your brand is considered uncool, it's hard to come back from that startup reputation.

Because of these results I will never use Facebook, Twitter, Myspace or VK ever again. I am now a die hard Google plus fan.
