How do we truncate (limit text shown) from shared links

Hello there, i was just testing out some sharing of links by my users and when my user shared a link , e.g to a news article, it displays the full article in the feed (added the screenshot here) . is there a way to truncate the text to limit the text shown to say just 200-300 characters and to expand or to read the full article by for example a "read more" button or link on the link shared by the user ?
