Hide "user liked a page" and "joined a group" from streamline

Hello I've searched around and cant see to find where in the setting you can hide certain activities from showing in the streamline.

For example I DO NOT want:

a post in stream for when a user liked a page
a post in stream for when a new joined a group

How can we avoid these stream items from showing in streamline?
