Groups Question

I am looking to at EasySocial as possible solution for my next project. A lot of requirements of the project could be accomplished with Groups with exception of a couple and I'm not sure if there's an easy solution to what I need or much customization is necessary.

I guess closer comparable would be word events but I DONT need any of the event registration or purchase.
I DO need the all of the social aspects & functionality you have implemented in groups such as: group albums, group photos, discussions, files, announcements, tasks, etc.

There are 4 entities that I am trying to cross link into seamless experience:
- User
- Event (Group),
- Performer,
- Venue

All content on site is to be user generated. and I thought of 2 approaches.

Approach 1:

- I am looking for a way to tag groups with JReview profiles (one or more - Performer / Venue ) where User can be give an option to create the listing if one doesn't exist for that performer / venue.
- Ability to tag groups with date
- Display groups in timeline and/or sort by date

Approach 2
Keep everything in ES
- Create 3 profile types: User, Performer, Venue
- Give User profile ability to create Performer & Venue Profiles
- Use Groups as "Event" pages and assign Profiles (User, Performer, Venue) to a Group and provide links to each on Group page
- Admin ability to change "ownership" of Groups, Performer and Venue Profiles to another User
- Ability to tag groups with date
- Display groups in timeline and/or sort by date

Maybe I'm overthinking this and you may have an easier solution or a better way to accomplish this with your software...
