Get Rid of New Header and Footer in Notification Emails

The new email templating system for Payplans 4.2.1 now puts a header and footer in the emails.
This is what comes in as the footer:

I did a custom content override and created a php file and both seem to add the new stuff at the top and bottom.

How can I get rid of the new header and footers on the emails?
