i wish, there was a way to add a basic event, that is just an event in the calendar with only two niche features:
1. Creator of the event should not be the first attendee automatically.
2. You can switch off the possibility for registrations at all.
explanation 1: If you are working for a page for example as community manager or if you are managing an Intranet, you will add a lot of events for the people, that you won't attend, maybe there are even events at same time, you even can't attend. But the other way it looks not very inviting, if the event maker himself is actively not attending all the events. So adding an event and then canceling own attendance is no option.
explanation 2: Not all events have attendance character and are just for Info instead. So i wonder, why there is not a way to turn registration off at all, when you are adding an event. You can say "allow maybe", or "allow to not attend" but there should be another option to say "allow registration"
