The extra options below will improve the visibility of events.

1. Default Tab

There are currently two global options for the first tab that is visible to a user - Timeline and About. However there are events that:
a) Have not started and have no activity in the Timeline
b) Have not started and have activity in the Timeline
c) Have started and have no activity in the Timeline
d) Have started and have activity in the Timeline

Information about an event is normally more important before it starts and/or there is no Timeline Activity and a global Timeline tab choice does not give the user the imformation they need unless they click on 'more' and a global About tab choice does not show Timeline activity when an event has started without an additional click, so the following two options would be useful:

A third global 'floating option' that shows the About tab before an event starts and the Timeline tab once it has started.

A fourth global 'floating option' that shows the About Tab until there is activity in the Timeline and the Timeline tab when there is any activity.

This would complete the set of necessary features for the Default Tab.

2. No Image of Placeholder in Avatar

If a Cover image is in place, either as a placeholder or an actual image, the avatar area does not look good if no image or placeholder is used, especially in mobile view where the avatar square is over most of the cover image.

An option to hide the Avatar square/area from all users except event owner and admins where there is no image or placeholder would solve the problem.

Perhaps make the mobile avatar size a bit smaller too.
