Extra Fields in EB: Can they default to "Open in new tab" and can I change all previous ones?

I have two questions about the Extra Fields URL options.

1) Is there any way to change the default of the hyperlink extra field to be "Open in new tab" ?

Currently the default behavior seems to be "Stay on same page"

I did not realize this. As a result:

2) Is there a way to change all the hyperlink options for previous EasyBlog extra fields to be "Open in new tab" instead of "Stay on same page".

I am afraid there are possibly thousand of them to be changed which could be a very time consuming process.
