Events Time based on your Posting Time?

It's currently 6:19 a.m. where I'm at, if I create an event right now the default is to assign the start time to 6 a.m. When I submitted the event using the default it immediately became a past event. :p If I recall right the old default was 12:00 p.m. (mid day). It was perfect in my opinion, why was it changed? Event submission time has pretty much nothing to do with the time you would assign to it (except perhaps the date).

So we need one of two things done:

1. Set the default time to 12 p.m. (it is a common event hour). My site would use morning hours, but I'm looking out for most ES users here.

2. Have no default time and have the user select it somehow.

As noted in another thread setting the default date is a little problematic. The current method used for the end date in my opinion is perfect. :)
