Error after upgrading from 1.05 to 1.06

I see that others are asking about this ....

When I upgrade easysocial from 1.05 to 1.06 I get the following error when trying to access the frontend;

Fatal error: Call to a member function load() on a non-object in /home/tracine/public_html/components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php on line 916.

I'm gathering that this may have something to do with upgrading Joomla from 3.1. to 3.2 rather than the easy social upgrade. Is there a fix?
