Endless redirection loop error message

I have installed Hikashop and EasySocial on the same (development) site. Using EzS login broke Hikashop, and using com_user created "endless redirection loops".

I finally found in plugin management the "system-EasySocial" plugin.

Opening this plugin, there is a toggle-swicth "Enable com_users redirections". Setting it to "no" cleared the problem.
