Embedded Blog Images in the Blog to display on the front page

I know there was a fix released to display and manage the cover images on the front page for the blog entries. I have a couple of news feeds from the feed importer that import images from the feed directly into the blog, so it has no way to add to the cover image. Is there a way to display those images that are embedded in the blog itself to display on the front page like they use to?

Also, I am using the vintage template and when I scroll the website down and the toolbar moves up underneath the menu. The toolbar overpowers the menu so you can see the items in the toolbar, and if the toolbar is high enough like if you view a blog and you use the menu and you try to access a submenu it also overpowers the submenu so users cannot click on the menu. You will have to view the website to see what I am talking about. Is there a way to fix this issue as well?
