ED Smart Search Plugin not applying category access

Hi we are using joomla's smart search (com_finder). I have enabled the ED smart search plugin and then cleared and re-indexed our site content.

Your plugin's index function and reindex function are not entering the correct value into the "access" column in the "jos_finder_links" table. It simply enters a "1" as the value no matter what discussion category the post belongs to. This is unacceptable since the "1" value is Public.

Please advise.
