ED- Notification Module: How to speed up the opening of the drop down notifications/conversation from icons

I am using the ED notification module. On logging in it shows an envelop and a bell icons. On clicking these icons, a drop down module opens. But it takes some time for this drop down module to open. How can I speed it up. I believe it must happen in a js file. If yes, where is the file located and what value I need to change?
