EB5 on J2.5 Creating a Blog Post Error

I tried to create a new blog post and I'm getting this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function hasCustomFields() on a non-object in /home/public_html/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/composer/composer.php on line 273

FYI, this is in J2.5 and PhP5.3, could be useful info as to why this error is happening.
