EasySocial 2.1 Mobile Template

Hi, I needed a quick clarification how the new Mobile Template works. Is it installed part of the EasySocial upgrade and will be used automatically when users access with their mobile device? Or this is a separate install/configuration to force use the template with mobile devices? My thoughts is that If I already have a responsive template with EasySocial not sure how it will work.
