EasyDiscuss No discussions/cats Showing On Front

Hi, I have installed EasyDiscuss and configured all settings, but all I can see on the front is "There is no discussion found" or No "categories created yet" I have created a post and I do have categories and made sure these are published so not sure why these are not showing? Also, I have set up the emailing Parser and tested the connection, but the system seems to fail to send any emails when registering. I have made sure that the server has all the recommended system requirements.
