Easyblog thumbnails block not working - Javascript error, uncaught TypeError

The thumbnails block is an important part of a project I'm currently working on. There is an issue that has been around for a while also in the online demo.

When you create a thumbnail block, save it and try to change it again I get an error like this:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'toSimpleImageMode' of undefined

This error appears every time one of the settings is clicked.
