hi, i'm a Member of stackideas since over 3 Years and use Easyblog since there first Release. i can remember on EB Release cycles from max 3 Month..but these Releases cycles changed sinse the first Release from 2Month to 6Month! 
That means i have now to wait 6 month for the next major release of EB!? so I'm honestly not at all satisfied with this extended EB Release Cycles!!
EB Releases Cycles:
1.0.17 - 18.05.2010
1.1.06 - 23.07.2010
1.2 - 01.11.2010
1.8 - 02.02.2011
2.0 - 03.05.2011
3.0 Beta - 15.9.2011
3.5 - 18.6.2012
3.6 13043 - 28.9.2012
3.7 Joomla 3.0 - 29.11.2012
3.8. - 24.4.2013
3.9. - 24.10.2013
4.0 - 24.04.2014???
