EasyBlog Image - removing the .jpg from name

Sorry, I wanted to post the following question here: http://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-gallery-removing-the-jpg-from-name but it's locked.

The previous question was answered, but could you tell me how to also remove the .jpg from the normal images (not the gallery) ? (I can't use the caption feature, since the text is taken from the image name and should be visible only in lighbox when clicked. )
