EasyBlog - Allowed Memory Size Exhausted

Good Morning Support.

We have an easy blog install on https://www.xxxxx.co.uk/blog One of our users reported an issues with our website when visiting said it was showing an out of memory error on the server - we cleared down some old files and and the site seemed normal so we thought nothing more about it.

Yesterday however we discovered there was still an error but only when accessing the blog

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 9805085 bytes) in /home/a00000ff/public_html/libraries/joomla/cache/storage/file.php on line 135

The only changes we have made to the site recently was turning on page cache and also changing site cache from conservative to progressive.

I have temporarily worked around the issue (hopefully) by clearing expired cache and global cache and resetting back to conservative, but I'm not sure why the blog would cause the error.
