Hi SI fans,
I'm happy to see an old request in action. I appreciate the unified toolbar but i think it can be done much more.
When you are using more then 1 StackIdeas component, in my opinion, is confusing to use more Edit profile links and Download user data so, because all the components integrates Use EasySocial Edit Profile Link i suggest this:
1. Create apps for ES for all the fields from EB blog edit... ex: Website, Search Engine Optimizations, Feedburner and so on;
2. Create apps for ES for all the fields from ED profile edit...
3. Only one place to download user data and this must be in ES edit profile.
When the user access this, the section will display with checkbox what he can download: Community data, Blog data, Discussions data. Example from FB: http://take.ms/u010i
If the user wants to download only images from all the components he will select only photo from Community, Blog & Discuss.
There are a few users who want to download only some of their data and the server it will create more fast a downloadable zip file because it will have less file to process.
4. The user can't request another Download user data if the zip file is still available on the website for him.
If you set to be available for 2 days (or more) then you can't have an updated zip. This must bevahe like this: If you already have a zip data and you want to ask again for another one then the old one will be deleted and another one will be sent to be processed and available for download.
I hope this explanations are understandable and likeable. Please add your improvement suggestions for unification if you have
