Does Easy Social work with Protostar Theme? Or do I have to use a theme listed with extension?

Hello - I am working on setting up the Easy Social extension. Is it compatible with the Protostar theme? Or do I need to use one of the designated themes listed - Dark, Elegant, Frosty, Vortex or Wireframe? Thank You.
