Data storage

Hi Gentleman,

Today I have a question about data storage. I run a Linux CentOS root server currently limited to 80 GB Data storage. The max. Data storage space on my machine is limited to 500 GB. That is not very much I believe.

Now on my site user uploading videos and pictures continues and will be increasing sooner or later. In equestrian sports users probably upload lots of videos and photos to my side. For e.g. if 200,000 users need more than 1 GB data storage for each user, what server housing would be best for me?
Don´t get me wrong -not yet of course, but it could be the case one day. Would you suggest to handle this amount of data with Amazon S3 Services.?

And what I am going to do with the pictures and videos I have already stored on my hosted account now. Consider the fact that local affordable PC hard drives already have storage space 5 TB and more. This seems to me a very impartant issue and should be somehow discussed.

How are you handle this? I guess you have your own data center or server housing?

Thank you:D
