Custom filters position on Pages

Hi there

Is there any way to add the Filter Timeline option (custom filters, etc) back onto the sidebar for Pages content please? I tried adding the EasySocial Newsfeed module type to the position es-sidebar but this doesn't seem to be appearing on pages.

I did a little digging and it looks from the module PHP that the newsfeed module will only appear on the user dashboard view, which I'm assuming is why the above isn't working for me?

I understand that these have been moved in ES 3 to a dropdown menu above the stream but I've had a specific request to have them added back to the sidebar.
