Hi SI Team & Community

As of now I am using EB & ES to organise training videos. Maybe ED at some point…

This is my exact workflow as of now.

A) I write a blog post:

http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/546-subtitles-in-fcpx-part-01

in a Blog group called “Beginners FCPX”
I post this in a ES Group called "Learn FCPX"

http://finalbug.net/groups/item/17-learn-fcpx

and insert videos from Vimeo into the Blog post.

B) Next up, I want the videos to also display on a ES Videos page

I go to an ES group in this case:

http://finalbug.net/groups/item/17-learn-fcpx

Then I go to the videos section:

http://finalbug.net/videos/group/17-learn-fcpx

I select a category for the video in this case I set a category up called “Final Cut Pro”
I insert the video in question.
In this example:

https://vimeo.com/153280910

Add description etc and insert a link to a related blog article

http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/546-subtitles-in-fcpx-part-01

in the ES Videos Category “Beginners FCPX”

Short version of my workflow:

The different categories that I have to match up in different SI Components. Just does not seem right!

As of now:

EB Blog = “Beginners FCPX”
ES Group = “Learn FCPX”
ES Video Category = “Final Cut Pro X”

And I have no way of linking the video to the related blog post.
Not even with a Hyper link!

First question

Is there a way to get the link that I insert in the video description on the ES Video to go to the Blog article!
As of now it is just a text link with no hyper link functionality.
This seems to me to be rather unfortunate. Feature Request ;-)
Please see screen shot if this sounds confusing.

My second question

Would it not be great to have cross component categories!?!?!?!?!
Also categories within categories.

e.g.

“Learn FCPX” / Beginners
“Learn FCPX” / Advanced
“Learn Resolve” / Beginners
“Learn Resolve” / Advanced

That work across different Stackideas components!
From EB Blog Posts, ES Groups, ES Videos, ED Discussions etc

What happens if I end up using ED and it is intergrated in EB/ES.
Will I need a fourth category?

And dare I say it that is could all be integrated with a Payment Gateway.

I am not NUTSABOUTCODE but I am nuts about joining the dots…

Paul :)
