Create a template with the newsfeed area empty

Hi,

I want to create a new page on which I want to customize according to my needs. For this I want that the middle section containing all the news is empty and all other features like top navigation bar, left navigation bar (containing groups, events, leaderboards etc) and the right bar (containing 'Logout' option) is displayed as it is. In other words, I just want to know that if I want to create a new page in which the layout remains the same, how can I do it?
