Couple of Basic ED with Groups questions ;-)

I am pretty new to ED so please bare with me.

I am trying too understand how I could use Easy Discuss First & Foremost as a Group Discussion Component...

Easy Discuss interface in ED versus in a ES Group

With Easy Discuss and the Easy Discuss Group Application installed and active.
When I start a discussion in a “Group” for example here:

https://www.finalbug.net/groups-learn-post-production-socially-fcpx-and-more/groups/26-fcpx-not-pro/apps/26-discussions/create

I would have expected the interface to look as it does when I start a discussion here:
https://www.finalbug.net/discuss/ask

Please see the screen shots 1 & 2 is this normal?


Easy Discuss front page Layout Forum versus Group items

All of these items in the ED Toolbar:

Show Search Input

Forums

Show Recent
Show Tags
Show Categories
Show Users*
Show Badges
Show More Settings*
Show Sign-in Button*

Relate to activities in the ED forum and not ED Group disscusions!
The stared items being exceptions, applying to more general stuff.

When I go here:

Are these ED forum badges or do they also apply to ED Group discusions?

All relate to ED Forum discussions and can not/do not relate to ED Group Discussions?


Using both the "EasyDiscuss - Ask Module and little blue "Ask a question button"

Will allow me to post a question in the "normal" forum and not a discussion group?

Even when for eg I am on the group page as in screen shot 5!?!

Using the Applications drop down menu on the “videos” page

Going from here:
