We installed CometChat on our website and we are facing some issues. One of the issues is the following:
Once the user receives a message, the cometchat window pops up. When we minimize the window (not close it) and a second message is received, the cometchat counter shows a new message as per photo 1 at the bottom and towards the right. If we do not open the cometchat window to view the new message received, after a few minutes the EasySocial counter kicks in as per photo 2 (close to top right corner it shows a new message as well). Now, If we open the cometchat window to view the message, the EasySocial counter still shows the unread message despite the fact that this has been read in the cometchat window.
First step we contacted CometChat support and they let us know that the issue cannot be corrected. Therefore, we are considering the fact to unistall CometChat and move forward with another similar extension.
But, first we would like to ask you:
1. Do you offer custom programming in order to correct the issue?
2. If yes, please provide us with your fee quote.
In addition we are facing other issues, like:
a) Please see photo 4. If we click on the link of the messages dropdown (above the cover photo of the profile) then we are redirected to the EasySocial conversations feature as per photo 5 and not to the CometChat conversation. Thus, the cometchat extension is not so usable. If you are offering custom programming support we would like your quote on this issue as well.
b) After cometchat installation once the user sends a message through the EasySocial conversation feature, each message is sent three times.
