Can workflows be used to have milestones already set up in certain group categories

Hi,

is it possible to set default milestones in a couple of Group categories using the custom fields/ workflows?
For example, I want to create about 6 milestones and want them to already be available when a new group is created for certain categories.

I had some custom work done where certain groups are automatically created and these are populated automatically. If it isn't possible for me to set some milestones with the custom fields/workflows, then could this be achievable via custom work?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
