Blog showcase gets huge during the transition to a new slide, disrupts reader experience

With every transition between articles the container for the blog showcase module gets huge for a fraction of a second. This occurred as a result of our latest easyblog update (major update from an older version). This is very disruptive to a user scrolling down the blog posts.
