The vast majority of PC users do not know how to reduce an image to 160x160 pixels. That's why the Avatar Upload Routine should offer a higher tolerance and render the images reliably on the server side. ( And by the way a note to the upload restrictions: An Image with 160x160 pixel can not have a Size of 8MB...
