Attempting to remove all past events automatically

Hello,

I am looking into trying to automatically remove events that have passed their end date with EasySocial. I saw that in the 3.2.16 version the functionality to "purge past events from the back-end without needing to manually delete them" was added and I would like to learn more about how to accomplish this. Any incite on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
