Archive Module isn't showing archived posts / How can I show only posts from current year?

Hi there

Question 1 - about the archive module. I want to display and give access to all posts which are archived.
But this isn't actually working... the archive module is just listing all active posts with the creation date. I know I can do this via the toolbar, so it should be possible for the module I guess.

If you could tell me, what's the criteria for loading the posts in the code of the module, I'll edit by myself.

Question 2 - is it possible to just show posts from specific date (all posts for 2016 for example)?
