Allowing users to post on event without attending

Hi,

There was solution fro this in this ticket.

Allowing User To Post To Event Timeline

This allowed users to post in events after it was closed and without having to say if they were attending. I have added the code as stated but it has had no affect.

Is this still a useable solution?
