Wanderers - Beautiful Joomla Template In The Making

Wanderers - Beautiful Joomla Template In The Making

Guys, check this one out!

This is our latest project; developing a beautifully awesome Joomla template. We dubbed it was 'Wanderers'. It is near completion and once it's done, the template should work wonders with EasySocial, EasyBlog and Komento. It started out with the designers just playing around with the templates. Mark saw it and he took a liking over the initial idea. They got into a serious discussion and after a series of brain-storming; Wanderers was born.

Here's a preview of this beautiful Joomla template. :)

b2ap3_thumbnail_templateone.jpg   b2ap3_thumbnail_templatetwo.jpg

You can click on the pictures in order to view the full size. Those are the picture that I took with my phone due to the fact that I wasn't allowed to take screenshots. But Justin always finds his way around; here's the screenshot of the template in action :

b2ap3_thumbnail_Wanderes---Easyblog---Blg-Post-Page1.jpg

Now that truly give EasyBlog's page a huge facelift; don't you think so? Now here comes the best part...

b2ap3_thumbnail_Wanderes---Easysocial---Profile1.jpg

EasySocial's profile page, running on Wanderers. It gives a different 'feel' to it; almost as if you're using a different component altogether. To me, this up-coming Joomla template will give a different atmosphere for your EasyBlog and EasySocial.

Do not inquire on my method of obtaining these screenshots. LOL

What do you guys think? Pen down your thoughts in the comment section! :)

Will it work with Joomla core, as in, is it a Joomla template too or just a template for your extensions?

Question, will it come with an option for a sticky top menu? As in a fixed position? and how is the mobile view looking? will you give us control of breakpoints in the backend?

I have the same question as Jannik Laursen

Would we have a fixed top menu where when you scroll down, the menu keeps on floating with you. All social networks have this Facebook,Twitter, Instagram, Google + where it helps the user close to his notifications and primary menu item.

Looking great and im glad you guys decided not to go with a framework .. this will make it faster to load

Shouldn't be too hard to hard with the current free jquery script online since their div seems to float both left and right. My personnal concern would be about bootstrap and mobile

A quick google for "JQuery stick" will provide few libs that would, with the addition of 4-5 lines of code, provide what you are looking for. I'm sure devs will make it as an option. If not' i'll just supply a lil hack to code

Ah sweet. Question for ya. Will JQuery stick help me split the menu in the middle to make space for a logo the way I currently have it on statusselect.com? or are you primarily referring to the sticky top menu?

and if it only is sticky top menu? then how is it different from a simple css position fixed override?

Would love to see something similar to what twitter does with the 3 and 2 column layout based on 1280px and 1024px widths. I'm not sure how they move the right column content from the "dashboard-right" div to the "roaming-module" when changing screen width, but the same concept would be great for EasySocial!

You make my day
Thanks to the team

Hope to see also really new look with EB 4

I wish to be able to personnalise the submenu (ES top menu) to include EB links or others components links like "my subject" from kunena

Exciting news! Actually wasn't expecting this with everything else you're doing. Lovely look!

Hope we can drop a logo in top left there and have full control over the base colour, and yes fixed menu option as others have said... Then pour on a new version of EasyBlog with a lovely new showcase style front-end for featuring Blogs and EasySocial Events.... and then all of a sudden life is complete!

Why not focus on finishing projects that seem more important, like EasyBlog and EasySocial as well as updating EasyDiscuss and Komento. Or is Stackideas going to have a Template Club next?

  1.    hmmmm....

First of all they are creating 1 FREE template for their subscribers, to help create a more unified and consistent experience when using their components. That is hardly starting a Template Club is it? Secondly, just because you don't see value in it, and don't appreciate their efforts... does not mean that the rest of us don't. I for one have been asking for a more unified and consistent experience across all of their components, and this is a huge step in that direction... so I LOVE THIS!...

Not to mention, even if Stackideas were to start a Template Club, which I am pretty sure they aren't planning on... what then? What is the issue in that? Your issue is the fact that ES and EB are taking longer than expected, I understand, we are all eagerly awaiting the next major releases, I have even had to postpone my site launch due to the delays... but I gotta say, I am happy that Stackideas are focusing on ensuring quality, rather than rushing releases. Too many other component providers push their releases full of silly bugs without any testing....

Guest,
I get your general idea. I check daily for updates but Stackideas' is on the top list when it comes for products, support and quality. The idea that they provide (even if i would have to pay few bucks) a template that integrates their own products flawlessly is more then welcome. It's not like they would stop focusing on their core products! And anyway, i would agree that even a little side project, to change your mind of the big one, is never a bad idea! Keep up the good work guys!

Alex

We have never lost focus on what we do best This additional template is probably only taking very minimal time from the lead developers as they are being worked by our designers. Expect more news for EasyBlog and EasySocial soon

No, we have never have any intentions of starting a template club and neither do we intend to challenge other template clubs. Our primary reason for wanting to build a new template is to help our valuable customers get a kick a$$ site, nothing more

Looks like a new alternative may soon be available for me with your new template in a way that still provides outstanding and compelling design Might you have an add-on "Customize it for me" option that customers you buy that might enable your designer to have productive fun between releases?

Thanks Eileen! We don't actually have any plans for "customizations" at this point of time but we're building this template in a very very "old school" way where everything should be pretty easy to customize. Load up the less files on "Prepos" to generate the css files and you are good to go

We don't intend to add in any "less compiler", "cache" or any "compressions" as these would only complicate the whole templating process.

Wow this is really great, If I can suggest an option in the template where you can decide what modules to be visible on: mobile, tablet, desktop/pc that would be really great.

Is this powered by bootstrap or ?

Great jobs guys, as always!

This is awesome, couldn't be a better time for this to be in development. I'm making my first EasySocial site and the site will be built with just EasySocial and EasyBlog, virtually no other pages, so this template looks perfect. Especially the placement of several of the Easy Social navigation panels being up at the top of the page, etc. I've been a long time EasyBlog user and was just waiting to be able to use Easy Social on a project and move away from some of the other social media...

So far Easy Social, even it's early days kills over the competition when it comes to interface, presentation and ease of configuration. We are building a custom app for it and we are not running up against any problems so far. Can't wait to share our app in the future once the site is live.

Hi, We about to begin building a bigger site, that includes almost all of Stackideas components including Easysocial, the Template is perfect for our proejct, could you say if release date is 15, 30, 60 days or even more? if would prefer to build it on this template, if its not months to the release.

Thx for great products!

Hello Dennis,

Thanks for the kind compliments! Unfortunately we do not have any "explicit" time frame on this but we're in the midst of cleaning up and touching up some bugs that we have found internally before releasing an alpha package.

Sweet! An alpha package, despite potentially buggy and incomplete, would allow us to start planning our css overrides and module positions So I very much welcome an alpha in any state ^^

Looking forward to seeing this, nice work guys.

I'm currently just using T3 Bootstrap 3 framework which is nice, but quite excessive when all I want is something clean and simple. This will compress all my scripts well, but there's other plugins which will do that available.

Well done guys, this will be a great tie-in for your products and allow users to focus on content delivery.
