Group Events in EasySocial

Group Events in EasySocial

Hey guys!

Did you guys know that, with the latest EasySocial 1.3.10, there's an option to create Events in your Groups? You can actually create events for your group members. It's very, very useful for those who wishes to manage their groups and create events for a specific group only. You can create it by navigating to your specific group first.

Once you're in the group's main page, scroll down and click on the 'Events' under 'Applications'.

You should arrive at the events page for your group. Click on the 'New Event' button.

From there, choose your category, fill up the form and click submit. Based on your site's setting, the event might need the admin's approval. Once everything has been approved, you should be able to view the event's info from your group's page.

There you have it! Easy way to create event for your specific groups. Gamers like me will usually use this to create events matchup, where my friends can get together and have fun. What about you guys?

EasySocial is the best social networking component for your Joomla site. The option to create Events for Groups is only available in the latest EasySocial (version 1.3.10). For those who are holding an older version, we'd highly suggest for you to get the latest version from your dashboard. You can also renew your license so that you can get the latest versions. Pen down your thoughts in the comment section, or post any technical inquiries via our official forum or by dropping us a ticket.

Typical day in the life of a Stackidea's product user:

Hey Witold!

Paid Events sounds interesting. We do, however, need to have some sort of a payment system in EasySocial first before we can implement such idea... OR we can talk to the Payplan team and see how it goes. Either way, this will be mentioned to our dev team; they'll decide whether it is to be implemented or not. Would be super-duper-awesome if you can pen this down in our Voices portal...

Great stuff. Events combined with more video functionality should be extremely interesting indeed

I sauntered over to the voices section to vote for “Paid Membership & Free Memberships” and could not vote. Then I figured that the reason that I could not vote was wait for it…. Drum roll. I had already voted for it. Eureka!

you guys are awesome ... it would be great if you could add testimonials and rating one another on different parameters
for example:
Photoshop 6/10
illustrator 7/10
java 8/10
and so on....

  1.    Paz

Hi Paz, thank you for your feedback. Well, the aforementioned features in the blog post is not really a 'new features' per se, it's just an enhancement of the current features in EasySocial. Our team are working very hard towards releasing the next EasySocial that will have the video functionality for our users.

It should be out pretty soon so stay tuned!

Paz, I believe Mark and StackIdeas know what they do. Obviously all of us want some particular features to be introduced ASAP: me - additional fields in events + paid events; Paul Murray - videos and on, and on. A wish-list of features to release is endless. On other hand, pls. keep in mind, they working really hard to make us happier with EasySocial. I understand why sometimes they don't talk too much about what they're doing: can you imagine hundreds of people pushing them all the time: do...

Instead of pushing them, why don't you contribute as application developer for EasySocial or maybe some other way in order to make EasySocial better?
