EasySocial 4.0.9 Released

In this release, we have added a new invitation feature that allows users on your site to easily share unique urls with their friends and gain points as well as badges when their friends register on the site.

Back-end

• Added missing comments menu item from Joomla dropdown
• Added legacy language string for the dashboard
  
• Updated Launch Frontend button in installer to prevent displaying errors on Joomla 4
• Removed dummy module that is no longer in use
• Updated settings to display a larger text input to prevent text from being hidden
• Clicking on a comment from the back-end will link to the stream item correctly now
• Default radius for nearby marketplaces will now respect Proximity Search Unit setting
• Fixed issue with not being able to access certain views at the back-end despite having permissions to do so
• Fixed issue with changing video source from the back-end not updating the thumbnail correctly
• Custom urls are now respected when admin sets a custom url for an object
• Joomla 4.1 Update Pre-Check will no longer display "Update Information Unavailable"
• Fixed issue with not being able to delete more than 1 currency from the back-end
• Removing stream permission custom field will cause members in groups to always be able to post on the stream
• Addressed conflicts between EasySocial pagination and Joomla article listing's pagination
  

Polls

• Polls created by banned users will no longer show up in the listings
• Fixed issue with polls not appearing in groups and pages
  

Users

• Deleting users will now also delete their marketplace listings
  
• Updated 2factor authentication compatibility for Joomla 4.x
• Follower features will now be disabled if the feature has been disabled in the back-end
• Fixed issues with auto login when signed in with Facebook
• Activity streams from private groups, pages and events will now appear on user's dashboard if the setting to Include Posts from Private Clusters is enabled
• E-mail custom field now contains a linkable option to insert mailto: attribute

Notifications

• Fixed issue with e-mail notifications not respecting the locale the user has chosen
• Deleting comments on photos will now also delete the respective notification item
  

Events

• When Allow Duplicate Title for Clusters is disabled, integers will no longer be added to the title of the event if there are no duplicates
• Page events can now be attended by non page followers
  

Audio

• Fixed issue with creating audio playlist on Joomla 4
  
• Fixed issue with importing audio meta data
• Fixed issue with audio encoding not working correctly
  

Videos and Photos

• EasySocial will now display the date of the video on the video listings 🆕
• Fixed issue with site admin not being able to see the New Video button on pages that they did not like
• Fixed issue with albums from Pages appearing under user albums
• Reposting photos will now notify the author of the photo
• Fixed issue with featured state not being reflected correctly after featuring the photo
  

Marketplace

• Fixed issue with not being able to render more than 10 images in a marketplace listing
• Updated behavior of image size calculation for marketplace images

Modules & Plugins

• Added new option in videos module to disable hits, comments and likes 🆕
• Fixed issue with photos module not opening photos in a popup on non EasySocial pages
• Updated update servers for K2 plugin to render update information correctly

Others

• Added noindex on pages rendering sorted or ordered items
  
• Fixed issue with conversation avatar and name not aligned
• Fixed issue with updating search filters always causing a new filter to be created instead
• Prevent links underneath reactions popup to be tapped on mobile devices
  

Update to EasySocial 4.0.9

Updating EasySocial is a pretty straight-forward procedure. You can update EasySocial using the single click updater in Joomla or the back end of EasySocial. Alternatively, you can also download the latest version from your dashboard and install it just like how you normally install any extension.
