PayPlans is a Joomla-based subscription system from Ready Bytes that lets publishers create membership sites quickly and easily. It includes automatic subscription options and effortless billing management, complete with a unique invoicing system. It makes every aspect of subscription billing a breeze through massive bunch of apps.

In this blog we are going to show how these two components i.e. EasySocial and PayPlans are seamlessly integrated to each other. All you need to have is :- EasySocial, PayPlans and of course Joomla! :)

There are three ways that both these powerful components are integrated with each other :-

EasySocial Registration with Membership Plans & Payments

When any new user subscribes to a plan and you want to display EasySocial registration page then PayPlans has an app/plugin for that named “EasySocial Registration”.

2. now change the PayPlans registration integration to “EasySocial” in PayPlans' configuration and save the changes.

Categorize User As per Purchased Plan

Easysocial ProfileType app provides the functionality to assign EasySocial Profiles to users according to their subscription status (i.e. Active, Expire, Hold). Install the app from app store and create an app instance in PayPlans app section. Provide the desired profile type that you want to assign to the user when the subscription becomes active/expire/hold.

I did some experiments, and the only product that played nicely together with ES and EB was PayPlans. Plus, as previously mentioned, their support is pretty good (do have one outstanding issue which seems to be related to invoices being downloaded using Google Chrome over HTTPS).

So in summary, if you need to charge for your site, and want to use EasySocial as your social network engine (and why wouldn't you?), then take a look at PayPlans from ReadyBytes.

Hi John,

I've contacted the Ready Bytes team and inform them of your inquiry. They should jump in the discussion sometime soon.

Hi John, none of my business but I would ask them again & give them a couple of working days & if they can not answer a pre sales question twice I would avoid them…

Will payplans & easysocial, allow my members to create their own plans for paid groups??

Basically i'm looking for a paid group feature for my site, wherein other members can create a paid group and visitors can join the group by paying the amount setup by the admin of that group.
is this possible?

regards

What a great way to increase a payment plan fee per profile type by allowing the end-user with this subscription plan to create "paid group memberships" for the groups that user creates.

Any updates, where can we look for more information?

Hello Shyam, Hello Mark

I am also very interested in Easy Social Integration based on Groups.
As outlined in this post here and this thread in the PayPlans forum:

http://www.readybytes.net/payplans/forum/3x/easysocial-app-enable-easysocial-users-to-create-a-fee-based-easysocial-group.html

I currently do not have an active PayPlans subscription but would probably subscribe if this feature was implemented!

Is there a time frame for getting this feature to work?

best

Paul

I've used PayPlans since 2012 (and other ReadyBytes software since 2010) and can back others in saying that they have strong support - similar to StackIdeas.

What would be awesome is to have a three way integration with EasySocial, PayPlans, and JFBConnect. We need a solution where the Plan can be selected (via PayPlans), then the registration system (through JFBConnect - i.e. log in through FaceBook, Twitter, etc.), and then be able to step through the EasySocial Registration page(s).

  1.    Ron Wells

Hey Ron,

Thanks for your kind words. We support EasySocial & JFBConnect as registration system. But One of them can be used at a time. A typical hack can be provided which will redirect user to EasySocial profile editing after (Plan selection, JFBConnect login, checkout, payment steps).

Will that help ?

Hi, hi

I guess that this is more of a question for the PayPlans Team. Do you have any examples of your Payplans component integrated in/with other Social platforms which sell online videos on a subscription basis? Am looking for some inspiration on how to integrate all this stuff with ES.

Obviously ES will have video functionality soon so that is why I am asking.

Any thoughts from the SI team also welcome

This is awesome!

I am in the process of integrating this into my local SEO training membership.
What I also like about PayPlans is that they have affiliate integration with Post Affiliate Pro.

So, I can now do the following:

* Use EasySocial for a paid community
* Use EasyBlog for the training content
* Use EasyBlog for the member internal blog posts
* Use EasyDiscuss for member forum
* Use PayPlans to bring it all together and have an affiliate program with Post Affiliate Pro!

EasySocial + PayPlans + JFBConect dont work well together ...
If you have some profile types in ES and your registration form is in ES you will have a big headache with Payplans, because users will need choose the Payplans plan and then needs to choose profile type in ES.
If you intend use JFB together... your headache will be bigger.
I have this 3 extensions but i need to leave payplans because they dont work together.
In time... Payplans is the best subscription system in JED and support...

Hi Kazuo,
Please specify the problems you are facing while configuring PayPlans with EasySocial and JFBConnect.

Is this integration still supported? It seems with the latest versions of both extensions the process is broken.

The user chooses a plan via the Payplans page, is then taken to EasySocial login/register page and clicks "register", and is then taken back to the the plan selection page. It just keeps looping.

2. now change the PayPlans registration integration to “EasySocial” in PayPlans' configuration and save the changes.

I forgot to do this step and we now have the site live with a lot of registered members. What exactly will happen when I change the PayPlans registration integration to “EasySocial”? And, what can I do about the existing members that have registered?

Hello Anthony,

I believe Payplans should already have a method to cleanup orphan records like this. Have you already contacted them to look into this yet?
