Latest blogs module not Wirkung properly

Hi,

the latest blogs module is not working for me...
The catory "on air archive" is not selected in the category filter. nevertheless blogs from this category will be also shown.
The truncation of words is also not working for the last entry. (3 entries are shown, on the third entry truncation is not working)
