Joomla language custom field subname

Hi Guys,

There should reallllly be an option to remove the sublanguage name (see screen for further explaination). I understand that english, for joomla, is using the united kingdom version but the end user doesn't need to see this!!! Here is my version whatsoever but this should really be OEM. this is just a test option field with a substr(0, strpos("(", $lang)-1, $lang) to display the name without the (*).
