Friend Invite emails not working

I've checked by sending an invite to myself by using Friends inviter tool of ES, in the email activity it shows a green tick after the scheduled cron runs but the receiver does not receive any invitation email.

I was reading other threads wherein emails were not being received and some fix was applied, so is there a fix required for freinds invite tool also? if yes can you please guide me.
