Can "Post Type" determine if Q&A is enabled?

I use two different types:
- Sharing Information
- Ask a Question

If the user chooses to post a "Sharing Information" then there should be no option to mark a reply as an answer.
If the user chooses to post a "Ask a Question" then Q&A functions should be enabled.

Is this possible??? Or must Q&A be enabled for the WHOLE FORUM?

(I am new to Easy Discuss so if there is a better way to set this up let me know)
