Entering Blocks = How many steps?

Hi SI Team

I am writing some simple instructions for another Blogger to Blog posts on my Site.
Just want to be sure that I have no missed something.

I go to create a new blog post in EB 5 and as long as I am just entering one block of text every thing is OK. But once I add something else, image, video, link etc I need to

a) Switch to the Block page
b) Select the Block that I want to use
c) Switch back to the post I am writing
d) Select the area I want to place the Block and edit!

That is obviously 4 steps.
Is there a quicker way of doing this?

Just want to double check
