Automated Media Upload through FTP

For a image intensive web where tenths or hundreds of new pictures are generated each day I use some automated FTP software that uploads those pictures in their diverse versions to the right folders for my e-commerce system.

Now I want that those pictures are available also for the EasyBlog single posters of this site.

But I don't want the poster having to previously upload the pictures to Shared Media or wherever they must be.

I want that my news poster find the pictures ready to pick when they start working with EasyBlog every morning, so those pictures should have been previously uploaded.

The question is:

Will a direct FTP upload to a certaing Media Folder inside EasyBlog break the system integrity as those pictures have not been processed by the "Upload Media" interface?

And, if this is possible to do, which folder or main folder should the FTP system target?

Thank you.
