Mini registration - Ä Ü Ö using makes registration impossible and give error

When using the letters ä, ü or ö, there is an error and registration is not possible. I need to have people enter their city, this is a big problem, because there are big cities in germany containing these letters like München (munich) or Köln (cologne).
