Socialize Easily With EasySocial 1.3.26

While we're fixing EasyBlog 5 for the next beta release, the developer team managed to allocate some of their rest time to build the next 'minor' release of EasySocial, EasySocial 1.3.26. To be honest,  'minor' is not the precise word to use because when I look at the changelog, I am baffled at how long the list is. Not to mention that when I was briefed by Mark; it took me quite some time to digest that this is actually a 'minor' release.

Well, let's move on to what are the new features that are currently available in this version.

Enhanced Usability In Groups

Our main goal for Groups is to simplify the process. Hence, we have ensured that process to join groups is not hindered by annoying popups. Users can directly join groups from the group listing page, without having to click on any annoying popups nor having to leave that page at all.

Handling group-based social networking site has just got easier with EasySocial. :)

Moderation In Groups

Hey, I understand how frustrating it is to not having the option to set moderation on posts. It doesn't take long to convince Mark and the developers that post moderation in Groups is a must; who would want to let their groups gets infested with spams, inappropriate posts and whatnots, aye? We have added this feature; you can now set "Post Moderation" in your groups via Custom Fields. Here's how it looks like, being from the poster's end :

Seems that James's post is under moderation after all!

So what about from the admin's view? From the administrator's (or the group owner's) view, we've built a filter called "Pending Posts" which filters out all pending posts, waiting to be approve. Let's see the site's admin approves James's post.

Congratulations James, your post has been approved. :D

Stream Enhancement : Added 'Pin Item'

Some things are worth putting up in your own personal profile's stream. We have augmented the stream by adding the option to pin posts. Users are now able to pin their activity so that it stays on top of their own profile stream. Here's an example :

You can see that the pinned post is marked with a 'star'. Group owners/admin can also apply pinned posts to their respected groups. Use this creatively and your site user won't be missing out on any important information.

To ensure that this feature is easily managed, we've also added the 'Pinned Item' filter in the dashboard. Oh, and this also works with Groups.

New Filters in Profile

New filters are now available in the profile's page. We totally believe that this will help with the navigation of your site.

Filters should already be available by default.

Amplified Link-Sharing

Sharing is the key feature of today's social networking. We've amplified our component's feature by adding the image's dimension prior to the user clicking on the share button. You can see the meta image's dimension here :

Pretty neat, huh?

Set Your Cache To Amazon S3

Another cool new feature, though this will excites the administrators, is the option to set your cache to Amazon S3.

Simply navigate to your backend > Component > EasySocial > Settings > Remote Storage, fill up the Amazon S3 required fields and your cache is up and ready to be stored in Amazon S3's server.

What's N5XT?

We will work on EasySocial's development, though currently we're putting a little bit more priority in EasyBlog 5. Once EasyBlog 5 beta is released, we will push a little bit more on EasySocial's development while we wait for all of the bug reports for EasyBlog 5 beta. We take our user's satisfaction very seriously and if we can pull of these features while we're working on EasyBlog 5, imagine what we can achieve should we have released EasyBlog 5 and focus 120% on EasySocial. :)

You can purchase EasySocial now, or, if you have an active license, you can immediately download it from your dashboard.

Let us know what you think! :)
