We received news today from our merchant partner Plimus that PayPal will be completely down on May 26th, 2011 for 26 minutes (is this some early April Fool's prank?) which means, you will be experiencing technical problems when you purchase our components. Details of the announcement is HERE.

Please report to us immediately at sales @stackideas.com if you encounter PayPal related problems.

But, there is another way around this. Our merchant Plimus can still accept major credit cards worldwide when you shop at our StackIdeas.com website. We hope you can be patient with this technical breakdown by PayPal.

I have to admit it. My online purchases are motivated by the level of trust I have on that particular website. The product may be cheaper than other websites are selling but on looking deeper and I don't see a 'Money Back Guarantee' and off I go to another Google search.

Why I love those 3 words is because it gives me a sense of security whenever I buy anything online. To be a smart consumer is no rocket science. Products or services made available for sale online originates from humans. And as humans, mistakes and imperfection prevails.

I may end up getting a lemon instead of that cool shiny bag for my iPad 2!! What I am trying to say here is we all love some sort of protection whenever our money is parted away from us, an assurance that our money is worth its while..

Here in StackIdeas, we could never thank enough to our customers for trusting us. To keep that trust, and perhaps affirm it, we are now putting peace of mind in your purchase - a 30-Day money back guarantee.

Whether you buy our Joomla blogging component EasyBlog or SectionEx, we honor you with the 30-day policy, as enshrined in our Refund Policy page. If there is some way that our component is not up to your requirement within this 30 days, you are entitled of your money back, no questions asked.

Of course, it is our greatest endeavor to assist you in any aspect of our products to make them work for you. We thrive when we have happy customers who buy from us.

And if all else fails, we are happy to return your money. :)

Joomla! had recently released Joomla 1.6.2 which breaks small parts of the back end section of EasyBlog where they are no longer loading the core mootools library on pages that doesn't use them. We have uploaded a new version which will fix these issues but if you are not affected by this, you can just discard this update.

Stay tune for the next post on some teaser for EasyBlog 2.0

Howdy everyone! We have just released EasyBlog 1.8.155 which addresses a couple of minor issues and solving the conflicts with the new Jomsocial 2.2 release. If the current version of EasyBlog is working well for you, you do not need to perform this upgrade. It is entirely optional.

As we are nearing the completion date of EasyBlog 2.0, I would also like to take this opportunity to suggest new users from performing any hacks because we have revamped and restructured our entire theme structure for easy maintenance in the future for both web developers and end users. The new template structure will mainly use a set of system theme files and most of the styling are done via CSS now.
